Artists are getting creative in response to the halt on live music events

The music has proven to go on as musicians have gotten creative.

Stoned and Dusted announced today that they've officially made the tough call to put the kibosh on this year's highly-anticipated desert-dwelling psych and doom-filled festival.

The decision lands them on the fast-growing list of music events making similar declarations, including the full-blown cancellation of SXSW, rescheduled dates for Coachella and Shaky Knees, the still-undecided moves to be made by others such as Hangout Fest, and Burning Man's attempt to take the experience to the Multiverse.

But have no fear, the music has proven to go on as musicians have gotten creative with the technology and dedicated followings at their fingertips.

Artists such as MxPx's Mike Herrera, The Honorary Title's Jarrod Gorbel, Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional, and Howling Giant have taken to live-streaming over the last month in an attempt to provide some medicinal music to our ears while many of our days have fallen much quieter.

Vulture has been staying on it with a list of other events that you can also clear from your calendar, but definitely don't stop following your favorite acts during this time. They're still out there and need your support more than ever.

Be a hero, won'tcha?!
