Bass player and singer challenged to fill one out a bracket of favorite songs for his own band
We're not able to see any live music right now, but musicians all over the world have been keeping themselves busy with songwriting, recording sessions, and livestreams.
It's also a good time for bands to reflect on their favorite songs.
The record store/music label Smartpunk challenged Mark Hoppus to fill one out a bracket of favorite songs for his own band, blink-182. Well, he did it his favorite song is "Feeling This" from the self-titled album.
"I went with my gut and didn’t second guess anything," said the band's bass player and singer.
Take a look at the actual bracket below. You'll notice he referred to "I Miss You" as "Yed."
Hoppus also spoke his mind in the replies on Twitter. One person asked him why he picked "Anthem Pt. 2" over "Not Now."
"Anthem Pt 2 is some of Tom’s best songwriting. The intro still gives my chills. That stab of guitars and drums with the arpeggiated guitar line? Chef’s kiss."
Another fan asked him why "Feeling This" won and here's what he said:
"It’s the apex of blink-182. The best of all of us. It was different and new and (in my opinion) groundbreaking."
