Monkey Caught Flying a Kite in India

Amazing and hilarious footage captured by Forest Service employee.

Sure, we've seen apes and monkeys using hand tools and communicating with sign language, but what about flying a kite?

I mean, I can barely fly a kite without it getting tangled up in a tree or crashing to the ground, but check out the skills of this monkey in India.

The video was taken by Susanta Nanda of the Indian Forest Service and posted to Twitter.

In the tweet, Nanda wrote:

"Evolution happening fast due to lockdown. Monkey flying a kite. Yes it’s a monkey for sure."

Since then, the video has gotten a lot of attention — some people comparing the sight to the classic film Planet of the Apes, while others wondered where the kite was purchased.

It's still unknown how the monkey got the kite in the first place, but perhaps someone told it to "go fly a kite" and the gesture was taken literally.

Imagine if someone were to tell a monkey to take a hike?
