The 2012 film "Sinister" has been named the scariest movie of all time, according to science
There are all kinds of terrifying movies out there. Some keep you on the edge of the seat the entire time, while others make you wait as the slow burn nearly drives you crazy.
Oh, and what about those movies that use silence to scare the you know what outta you?
Quite frankly, a variety of different kinds of horror movies scare different crowds of people. However, do you think there's a way to find out which horror movie is the scariest of them all?
The company broadbandchoices believes it may have an answer to that question.
The platform performed a “Science of Scare Project” and they tracked the heart rates of 50 people of a variety of ages who watched over 100 hours of scary movies. That sounds like a massive overload of fear-inducing content.
After all of the tests and torture, broadbandchoices narrowed down a list of what it scientifically claims to be the 35 scariest movies ever made. Take a look at the list below.
Out on top is the 2012 horror film Sinister.

Let's reflect on the study...
Are any of your favorite movies in the "35 scariest films" list? How mad are you right now that the original Child's Play didn't make the list? Just me?
Here are some more random discoveries from the study:
James Wan was dubbed the “king of horror” because he was at the helm of three different scary movies that ranked in the top ten.
Modern horror movies performed much better than the classics. While movies like The Exorcist, Nightmare on Elm Street, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre might be considered “better” horror movies, they didn’t scare study participants nearly as much as the modern flicks did.
Audition was dubbed the scariest foreign horror film of the study.

This is soooo ridiculous! These are the scariest movies ever made? Seems like a list of scariest movies from western cinema only. I'm sure they only watched the Hollywood remake of "The Ring (Ringu)," and "The Grudge (Ju-On)." Western horror is so predictable. I mean... Paranormal Activity is up there as #4??
Cool! Super Scary! Watched the movie last week. It reminds me of 8mm with Nicolas Cage a bit. 😎
