After violently shaking them with all of his might he managed to spray it all onto the fire
Sure, "this Bud's for me" but it was totally meant for this other guy in California.
A Vacaville, California man whose home was being threatened by one of the state's largest wildfires managed to stick it to it, so to speak. He doused some of the flames by spraying the only liquid he could find: a case of Bud Light — his beer of choice.
Chad Little, and his family were planning on getting the heck out of there due to a mandatory evacuation, but he decided to make one more attempt to fend off the flames, according to local NBC news channel KCRA.
He initially tried to use water from a hose but realized his utilities had already been shut off. This is when the 30-pack of Bud Light came to the rescue.
He speaks about his heroics in the video below.
He reportedly found a nail sticking out of some wood and used that to puncture the cans. After violently shaking them with all of his might he managed to spray it all onto the fire.
"My buddies all tease me about drinking water beer, and I say, ‘Hey, saved my shop,' " he told KCRA.
In the past, I've shotgunned some cans of beer in a similar fashion, but I never attempted to smother the flames with beer. The heroic act even caught the attention of Bud Light on Twitter, tweeting "Adding 'part-time firefighter' to our resume."
In conclusion, this supports the feelings I've always had toward Bud Light.
It is indeed just water and I'm better off drinking something else.
Perhaps, I'll buy a 30-pack to keep in the darkened corner of my closet — just for emergencies, that is.
