The intention and impact of the New Moon in Cancer
For the astrologically-inclined, you're well aware that this week's New Moon lays on the heft, steering each of us toward tending to our emotions and inner world; addressing areas that require reconciliation and challenging us to step more fully into our personal power.
What can you do to prep for the impending potency of this emotionally-charged lunar cycle? We've got some suggestions for you!
Honor hindsight
As we're now over halfway through the calendar year, it's as good a time as any to look back on goals and intentions that you'd set for yourself earlier this year. Do they still feel relevant? If not, what needs updating? Want to go deeper? Think back to this time last year. And then the year before that. Are you able to trace bigger cycles unfolding or coming to a close?
Embrace your inner Fertile Myrtle
This is an astrologically fertile time, and it should absolutely be used wisely to plant seeds toward your ultimate success and empowerment. What ideas do you have trying to be born? Your creative outlets and endeavors carry even more magick right now. Don't be stingy with those seeds now!
Create some space to simply feel
This time of Cancer invokes many raw emotions to the surface. Feeling due for a good cry? Make the time for one! Gift yourself some unrushed and undisturbed space to sift through and organize what's trying to be felt.
Get your ritual on
Get playful and plan a ritual to honor the craftiness of the cosmos, your femininity and connection with the divine She, and the seasonal shift that just occurred with the recent Solstice. Invite a couple of intention-setting pals to join you and celebrate the moments.
Remember: rhythm, not rush
The more we surrender to the ebbs and flow of the rhythm of our lives, the stronger we become - on all levels. If rest is needed, don't neglect the call. Create time for your Self, without apology or excuse. And remind yourself ruthlessly that you are always exactly where you need to be to receive the medicine of your process.
Now go on and set those New Moon intentions! ...the lunar, the better.
