Trick-or-Treat Zip-Line Delivers Halloween Candy and Beer

There might still be a way for some to continue Halloween‘s greatest pastime

In a year when everyone's encouraged to wear masks, the spooky holiday that's known for people wearing a different kind of mask is being discouraged. Well, at least the "trick-or-treating and large gatherings" part of the holiday is being "poo-pooed" on.

The CDC came out and recommended that kids should stay indoors this Halloween, and major cities like Los Angeles have already banned the tradition.

However, times like these are when people let the creative juices flow.

There might still be a way for some to continue Halloween‘s greatest pastime, all while practicing safe social distancing, of course. One way to do it is to follow this creative guy's lead and build a zip-line that delivers candy and beer.

Matt Thompson of Thompson Woodworks put together a pretty neat contraption to help keep the trick-or-treating alive and well in the town he lives in.

The social-distancing zip-line is set up with a cable and some pulleys to create a line that runs from his porch to a spoofy, Halloween-themed pole near the street. It's perfect for parents that want their kids to be safe and for those that are thirsty — craving a delicious beer that'll give them enough strength to walk around for hours.

It's been an odd year and seeing a zip-line that delivers beer in the street actually seems pretty normal. Cheers to Halloween and however you plan on spending it!
